Region III

A largely undiscovered area

Nola Gate and Walls and the Necropolis of the Nola Gate

Region III only had 4 structures on the map.  Unfortunately during my visit, the two houses found within this area were closed for renovations.  They are the House of Trebio Valente and the House of the Moralist.  At the far edge of Region III you will find the Nola Gate and Necropolis.  The Nola Gate leads towards the town of Nola.  It features the head of Minerva in order to protect the city's entrance.  In the Necropolis there are four tombs.  This necropolis is much smaller than that of Nocera and Herculaneum.  The first image gives you a good idea of what the city walls and guard towers looked like.
